Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra attends the "Make Equality Reality" event held in Beverly Hills, California.

 Priyanka Chopra short time ago signed with ABC to join the cast of the network new terrorist drama series "Quantico." She will play  lead role opposite Jake McLaughlin. That’s her first appearance in the US series and also for the first time a Bollywood star joins a pilot on ABC.

"I took a leap of faith when Keli Lee asked me to join the ABC family, and I'm so excited to be a part of the pilot for 'Quantico' alongside an incredibly talented cast and production team," priyanka chopra quotes.

Priyanka will play Jake MacLaughlin's love interest. According to The Daily Mail, the two will meet on a flight where MacLaughlin's character will charm Priyanka.

Other cast members include Aunjanue Ellis of "The Mentalist," Dougray Scott of "Taken 3," Tate Ellington, Graham Rogers, Johanna Braddy and Yasmine Al Massri.

The series will be centered on the story of a group of young FBI recruits as they are going through rigid training in the FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia. Each will have their own dark backstories and reasons for joining the FBI and this will be exposed in the series. One of the recruits will turn out to be a "sleeper terrorist" who took part in the 9/11 terrorist attack in the U.S. The show will toggle between present-day and flashbacks.

This series is written  by Josh Safran. The network has yet to announce when the series will be shown, but it is among ABC's line TV season 2015-2016.

Priyanka has 20 films to her credit and also won the Miss Universe crown in 2000. She will continue to work in indian cinema while working with ABC. Priyanka chopra will be seen evolving as a global icon as she proved to be successful in india

Otherside Elli will be seen wooing Riteish in the film. The reports suggest that most of the film’s part will be shot in London. Sajid Khan, who directed earlier parts will not be directing this film this time. Instead, Sajid-Farhad have come on board for the project.

The shooting for the film is scheduled to start soon. Housefull 3 most likely will release next year, around June. Well, Fans are awaiting for the film

Recent reports state the two starlets have confirmed to play the lead roles in the forthcoming movie, which is currently known as "Vijay 59". Before news of Samantha and Amy confirmed for the roles, top Bollywood actress like Deepika Padukone and Sonakshi Sinha were also doing the rounds.

While Samantha has romanced Vijay earlier in blockbuster "Kaththi", Amy Jackson will be working with Ilayathalapathy for the first time.

As far as the other cast is concerned, comedian Vadivelu - has been signed to add to the humour element.
