Rakul Preet Singh  is an Indian film actress and model, who mostly works in South Indian film industry.

In her adolescence, Rakul did a few modelling assignments and made her acting debut with the 2009 Kannada film Gilli which was a remake of the Tamil film, '7G Rainbow Colony'.

In 2011, Rakul participated in the Femina Miss India pageant in which she placed fifth. She was crowned 'Miss India People’s Choice' and won four other pageant titles. Same year, she starred in a Telugu film Keratam (2011), a critical and commercial failure.


The following year, she appeared in the thriller Thadaiyara Thaakka, her first Tamil film release and received critical appreciation for her performance as a TV reporter in the 2013 Tamil drama film Puthagam.


Rakul received praise for portraying the lead female roles in the commercially successful Telugu films Venkatadri Express (2013), Current Theega (2014), and Loukyam (2014). She made her Bollywood debut inYaariyan (2014) in which her performance was better received.

 Priyanka Chopra short time ago signed with ABC to join the cast of the network new terrorist drama series "Quantico." She will play  lead role opposite Jake McLaughlin. That’s her first appearance in the US series and also for the first time a Bollywood star joins a pilot on ABC.

"I took a leap of faith when Keli Lee asked me to join the ABC family, and I'm so excited to be a part of the pilot for 'Quantico' alongside an incredibly talented cast and production team," priyanka chopra quotes.

Priyanka will play Jake MacLaughlin's love interest. According to The Daily Mail, the two will meet on a flight where MacLaughlin's character will charm Priyanka.

Other cast members include Aunjanue Ellis of "The Mentalist," Dougray Scott of "Taken 3," Tate Ellington, Graham Rogers, Johanna Braddy and Yasmine Al Massri.

The series will be centered on the story of a group of young FBI recruits as they are going through rigid training in the FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia. Each will have their own dark backstories and reasons for joining the FBI and this will be exposed in the series. One of the recruits will turn out to be a "sleeper terrorist" who took part in the 9/11 terrorist attack in the U.S. The show will toggle between present-day and flashbacks.

This series is written  by Josh Safran. The network has yet to announce when the series will be shown, but it is among ABC's line TV season 2015-2016.
